5 fruits of my weekend labor

I made 8 shirts in five styles for Monica's Diva. Not every happy with the results, but oh well.

Hopping on the Monster Craze:

I'm under the weather this weekend, so I'll probably make a bunch of stuff. Here's the first round:

And hopping on the Monster Craze, here's my family that I made for a Craftster Swap:

They have a little story: Urban Hipsters
Meet the Retship family. They have recently relocated from Brooklyn to open a kitschy vintage shop specializing in 50's kitchenware, crafts made by other urban hipsters and vinyl. The parental units enjoy working on their shop and sipping soy lattes while smoking clove cigarettes down the street with their friends. When not working, they love cruising other vintage shops, remodeling their house, reconstructing clothing, urban gardening, blogging, riding bikes with their two spawns, attending the Church of Craft and playing in bands similar to The Go! Team and Mogwai. The oldest will be off to college in the fall to possibly study audio production and will intern with Matador this summer. Before then, the oldest will be busy writing reviews for PitchFork and preparing for an upcoming photography opening.

Spring Plate Necklaces

I finished these up last evening, I would have made a few more, but I ran out of materials. :-( I'm pretty pleased with these, especially the one with the wire wrapping, I forgot that I loved that look until last week.

New Asian-inspired Necklaces

Hoopla!, a cute store in DC asked me to design an 'Asian influenced' line of necklaces for them. Here are the results so far, I hope that they like them.

Big Sale

It was a great suprise to return from Nevada to 3 online necklace sales! One of them was the below plate choker, which I created elegant packaging for.

Felting, felting Fun fun fun!

I finished the purse for my swap. The lady requested a gothicy, classicy, not cute purse that could be used for interviews. It was a tough request, and I'm not exactly thrilled with the results, but I hope she's okay with it.
I hand-felted balls from old sweaters and stitched them on.

For the bag, I topped stitched the fabric to fleece to give it texture, yet keeping it mildly conservative.
