The times are a changing

After 6+ years of varying shades of pink bar tape, the surly has a new look. As does the xtracycle deck.

Charm City Cross

Charm City Cross, Day 1, Men's B-ish race.
Though the other ladies of Team Jeni's crushed it in the cx and mtb races this weekend, I had some family stuff in Baltimore and got to watch two races in between family events Saturday. Great event. Lots of dudes.

Negative Approach

Negative Approach at Ace of Cups 8/30/12.

Tried to shoot .RAW, but pitched the software that came with my camera, therefore didn't have a (free) way to edit them. Oh well. Also tried to use the attached flash=fail. Amazing show though.

So it begins

Saturday started off the season with a race to benefit the Cincinnati juniors team.
The course seemed long, but it was fun and not too wet/sloppy considering the rain the evening before.
I banged my knee so didn't finish, but Kari did!

I need to look into a knee brace/pad of sorts. The tiniest bump is similar to hitting your funny bone and it swells up pretty easily.

Job Hunting

IMGP8111
So a few months ago I was RIFT'ed and am beginning to really search for employment.
I have intermediate experience in a variety of fields, so if you or any of your contacts are looking for a chemical/environmental type engineer, or if you know of a reputable recruiter, feel free to pass on my email or Linkedin profile.
Here's a quick pictorial summary of what I've done over the years
IMGP0047
Carbon Sequestration: Oversaw completion and workovers of monitoring and injection wells, surveyed monitoring technologies, designed/developed annular pressure systems for injection wells, public outreach
P1020062
Environmental Remediation: designed rememdiation systems, oversaw installation; ZVI and bioaugmentation injections, groundwater and soil gas sampling, agency reporting, regulatory reviews, emissions calculations
Chemical Spill
Environmental Compliance Auditing
IMGP7943
And though I don't have any photos, my main interests lie in process design and construction. I have experience on lab-scale levels, but would like to explore the world of oil and gas/energy.
Thanks!
