Barcelona Tourist Day!

For our first full day in Spain, we were able to leave the car at the hotel and explore Barcelona.

Casa Comalat, designed by the architect Salvador Valeri i Pupurull in 1906.

Swung past the Gaudi church and droves of tourists:

Trekked up to the Park Guell in the heat:

The park was built between 1900 and 1914 and was officially opened as a public park in 1926 and I naively assumed it would be free to check out. It wasn't, and there weren't tickets available that day, so we walked around the public areas.

Great nice view of the city (and potentially the boat DR was working on)

Looking to the hills behind the park:

Then headed back down into town for a snack, to grab the car and head out to the countryside!

(I think I ate my weight in olives during the trip)
